What started as a couple of kids just trying to build a life together turned into something way bigger than either of us expected. We learned early on that we work best as a team — me on the tools, Maddie with the design brain that makes everything actually look good. Every project we touched together, whether it was our own house or a favor for family, kept turning out better than the last. Somewhere along the way, the people around us stopped saying “that looks nice” and started saying “you two should really be doing this for a living.” And, being the stubborn idiots we are, we went ahead and did exactly that.

But the truth is, this business didn’t grow out of wanting to run a company — it grew out of wanting to build a future. A future where we could raise our kids around hard work, creativity, and pride in what you make with your own hands. A future where Maddie could put her natural design instincts to work, and I could take something ordinary and turn it into something people can actually love living in. NKY Kitchen Remodelers is just the natural extension of who we are: a couple that can’t help building things together — whether that’s a home, a family, or a business that reflects all of it.
